In Love With Latacunga

Despite of some our local friends recommendation not to bother going to Latacunga we decided stick to our plan and visit a friend of ours in Latacunga. According to those some local friends, Latacunga, a small city few-hour bus ride away from Quito, apparently has nothing to see or to do and is absolutely not worth visiting! I suppose this worked for us like reverse psychology for kids. And we absolutely proved them wrong! We LOVE Latacunga! Amazing time, best food that we´ve had so far, better night clubs than in Quito, cheap manicures, chocolate strawberries, great sights and even better company.

Got to love the road signs here.

Susan, Giga, Estrella,Adam and me. Visited Susan in Lasso on the country side. It was beautiful but freeeeezing!

Local transport

In very rare places in Ecuador you are able to see flat ground!
Sneaky business. Local clown scamming people in the bus to buy chocolate.
Local life at the bus terminal
Street food

Trying to decide which way to go..

The food was AMAZIIIIIIING!
One happy chinese girl after founding good chinese food in Ecuador.

Central Park

Only turists in the town

Goosh these people love organising parties! Never seen so many party decoration stores in my life.
Chocolate Strawberries. Do I need to say more?

Three very happy girls!
Manicures for $2,5....
Can only mean three very happy girls!

After all this how can someone say that there is nothing in Latacunga!!

Earlier on May... Birthday Party, Mexican Food, Nature Trip & Old School Bowling

My 24th birthday party

I made typical finnish food / makaroonilaatikko, which everyone loved , thankfully!
And my friends made me yummy cake!!

Later my german exhange girls made me german dinner! So good!

Mexican Food

My mexican housemate Cynthia made us mexican food. Never eaten this much in my life but it was worth it!

Muddy, Wet, Cold but Amused in Nature

Blond girls head to nature with white shoes! Very smart!

It was pretty until it started raining...

Still standing until...
at the beggining of the trip I told my friend that I would slip on the muddy path...
And so I did! we got a good laugh!
Lunch in the rain
And this is what happens to white shoes on a muddy nature trip.

Old School Bowling

One saturday we made a sold effort to go on a day trip to a town close by Quito. Unfortunately land slide from a mountain laid a setback on our journey. So we returned to Quito but it wasnt totally wasted day.. we found a old school bowling hall and spent the day bowling and playing ping pong. How much fun was that!!

I loved my shoes

That was more or less what has been happening in my life in May. On top of these stuff.. I never had so much free time in my life and so less stress about school. I also never have partied and travelled as much I have during my stay in Ecuador. This was one of the fun nights in Quito.

Its blessing and trouble to be friends with all the club stuff! Cheap nights and painful mornings!
